Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of CernBank at cernbank.com. By signing in, you agree to them.
1. What CernBank is
CernBank is self-custody software. It gives you a banking-style way to use your own xCoin (XID) wallet: balances, transfers, payees and statements. Your wallet is opened and used in your own browser. CernBank does not hold, control, freeze or reverse your funds, and does not hold your keys.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding agreement, and your use of CernBank and of XID must be lawful where you live.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google (and, when available, Apple). Keep that account secure. You are responsible for activity on your CernBank account and for the devices you use to unlock your wallet.
4. Your keys are your responsibility
- Keep your .mmm file or seed safe and private. It is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose every device with a passkey or PIN.
- CernBank cannot recover, reset or reveal your wallet, seed, passphrase or PIN, because we never have them.
- Never share your seed, passphrase or PIN. CernBank will never ask for them.
5. Transfers are final
Transfers on the xCoin network cannot be cancelled or reversed once they are in a block. Check every address and amount on the review screen before you confirm. Network fees go to xCoin miners, not to CernBank.
6. Risks
Digital currencies carry risk. The value of XID can rise or fall sharply. Networks, software and devices can fail. Nothing in CernBank is investment, financial, tax or legal advice.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use CernBank for anything unlawful, including fraud, money laundering, sanctions evasion or financing crime; do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer its security; and do not use it on behalf of someone else without their permission. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep CernBank available but cannot promise it will always be. If CernBank is unavailable, your coins are unaffected and remain accessible with your .mmm file or seed in any xCoin wallet, such as MMM. We may change or discontinue features, and will give notice of significant changes.
9. Fees
CernBank currently charges no fees. If that changes, we will tell you before any fee applies.
10. Disclaimers and limits
CernBank is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, CernBank is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for losses caused by lost or disclosed keys, seeds, passphrases or PINs, for transfers you confirmed, or for changes in the value of XID. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.
11. Closing your account
You can close your CernBank account at any time in Settings. Closing it deletes your CernBank data (see the Privacy Policy) and does not affect your coins.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell you in the app before significant changes take effect. Continuing to use CernBank after that means you accept the new terms.
